DWTS stars premiered its new season recenty.....a 'guilty pleasure' that I vow to 'not watch'....then can't resist, and...usually.... do it anyway...... My excuse, this Season, was to note how sexist ballroom dancing may be changing to be in 'fashion' with evolving gender roles.......the 'old school' image...you know.......men with their shirts ripped open, in tight pants, and women, dressed as pole-dancing strippers in glitterware and leg-fatiguing stiletto heels, dropping, in the last 'pose' shot...(see attached photo)..... to their backs, across the guys' arm, with the forward leg bent toward the sky, as the male takes total control of this final 'posturing'......The 'Show' went, as it has always....with a subtle....(increasing each season) hint toward the women dancers suggesting they're much smarter, beneath all that make up, hair-do and sequin getup, than the gawky, hyper-active young 'stars' and the 'old geezers'....like over 40-ish 'end of the roaders'....who will soon be voted "OFF".......I'm certain that Cloris Leachman and The Science Guy would be laughing themselves to tears as they guzzle Geritol, watching......I should have just watched LA LA LAND again! I'll have to get Randy Rainbow's 'take' on it
