well...pretty much "maintenance-free" anyway


The latest addition to my watch collection is an Eco-Drive....The power is stored by a "revolutionary" lithium-ion rechargeable battery which can store enough energy, from just being exposed to any kind of light, to power the watch for up to four years.

It's intelligent too - if the watch is kept in the dark for a long period, it switches to a sleep mode to conserve energy, with the second hand parking itself at the 12 o'clock position; then, as soon as the watch is exposed to light again, the second hand whizzes across the dial to the correct time and begins to run again.....
