JUST FOLLOW THE 'EASY-TO-READ' INSTRUCTIONS........THEY'RE PRINTED IN 'CLEAR ENGLISH', AREN'T THEY??

This morning, I attempted..with the assistance of a 3 page printed instructional pamphlet.....a bit shocked to find that it was 'written and printed' in The USA..... to disassemble a portable, battery-operated 'hand vac' that had begun to produce more rattling noise than suction, due to a 'design or manufacturing flaw' ........This, again, confirmed my opinion that imbecilic texting & twittering, messaging and spotifying has reached its unintentional (?) goal of Americans, having relinquished any capacity for clear expression, utilizing descriptive language and/or the ability to comprehend complexity...I wrote a "Dexterity Intelligence Quotient", during my first 'job'...sadly, with the "Redstone Arsenal Army Missile Command".....(a 'Summer Job'....hey, I was 20!~and this paid more than a job bagging groceries), between college semesters)..where, for a while, I wrote Instruction Manuals to facilitate Privates' ability to comprehend "written instructions"....The results of this Experiment led to the anticipation of future days, when 'Instructional Videos' would be widely available...'Monkey See/Monkey Do'.......Get a piece of rope and try it, yourself, being careful not to hang yourself with it.........
Can you tie a simple trucker's knot? Here's how: secure one end of a rope to your first tie-down point, then make a quick-release loop between it and your second tie-down point. Now, thread the loose end of the rope through the second tie-down point, then back through the loop you just made, and pull to tighten..... Once you've got the line as tight as you like, clamp down on the loop with your thumb and forefinger, then finish the knot by wrapping a section of loose line around the taut line and pulling it through..........if you wish to really lock off the end, simply wrap the new loose loop you created around the taut line and pull it through......however, you may prefer not to do this if you might prefer, at some time in the future, to undo the knot by simply tugging on the loose tail of line to unravel the whole package........ now, you try it! I had a summer job between my freshman and sophomore years of college.....writing manuals wherein I attempted to write instructions for the management of mechanical seats in aircraft or to describe relatively simple processes that were difficult to relay with words...........try to read some of the instruction manuals ...written in Korean or Chinese....then translated into English........
